I have been slowly working through my Netflix queue for the past few months.

1. Dirty Pretty Things: Oh what a movie! An absolute pleasure to watch. Chiwetel Ejiofor is perfect for the role of Okwe, an illegal immigrant. Audrey Tautou is the silent, control freak types. Trying to balance a quiet life with a desperate past. The camera angles are not “tight” but the screenplay generates sufficient interest. A MUST watch. If you liked Crash, you will like this one too!

2. Good Night and Good Luck: Interesting. Its a very short movie, and I thought it ended quite abruptly. Just when I thought there would be some more TV coverage, or results of the Senator’s investigation etc etc.. you know.. for completeness’ sake… boom.. it ends! So i kinda liked it but may be it could have been a tad longer.

3. Lord of War : Now here is a movie that goes back and forth so many times that if you miss a few minutes, you wont be able to connect the dots. That is not such a bad thing, but then it really forces you to rewind the DVD
. This standard Nicholas Cage fare. How many Nicholas Cage movies have the sutradhaar (voiceover) concept? Really! LOL. If you are hardcore fan, you will like the movie.

4. Flightplan : Jodie Foster is the paranoid mother. Gripping movie. The airplane’s CGI bits are ok but the concept is believable. Decent suspense movie.

Flightplan might be the dumbest movie i have seen since “The Forgotten”.
Hmm.. The Forgotten is REALLY bad.. agreed.. but somehow flightplan had *some* redeemable things ..
Anyhow.
