The first thing that strikes you about the film is the packed theatre. And the second is the fact that you spent $10 on the ticket for a movie that just doesn’t cut it. I respect Mangal Pandey and his sacrifice in our first war of independence. But Aamir Khan as Mangal Pandey is just completely weird.
The film isnt really that bad but it falls way too short of an Aamir Khan movie. The story has no meat to make an entire film out of and of course there are a million Lagaan-esque scenes. Infact I can bet that even half the cast is same!
Ok ok.. wait.. there are a few highlights … the sets are nice, Rani Mukherjee looks hot 
and that’s the end of it.
Damn, I cant help completely dissing the movie.. its really that bad. If you still havent seen it already, wait for the DVD. Or if you have a high speed connection, wait for the torrent.
aaaaaah.. God it feels good to get the review out of my system.
